Alissa Martin

Alissa grew up in Rancho Palos Verdes in the South Bay section of Los Angeles County.  She rode and cared for horses as her family had a ranch on the peninsula. In high school, Alissa played soft ball and she was in the US Air Force JROTC.  Martin earned a scholarship to ULSA on the island of San Andreas. After graduating with a degree in aeronautics, Alissa joined the US Air Force through the Officer Training School, OTS. After receiving her commission she started flight school.  Alissa was selected to fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon after primary flight training, and was sent to the 56th Training Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona.

After becoming rated to fly the Viper, she was assigned to the 388th Fighter Wing at Hill AFB in Utah where she deployed for a tour in Afghanistan.  Alissa was credited with saving a US Army Ranger squad from being overrun by the Taliban dropping two 1000 pound bombs and strafing the enemy’s position. Alissa was sent back to the 56th at Luke to be an instructor after she returned from Afghanistan. She was later retained at the 56th Training Squadron for a longer than usual period to fly as an F-16 demo pilot for two airshow seasons. Martin was then transferred to the 8th Fighter Wing at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea for two years before cross training on the F-22A and FB-22 Raptors at Eglin AFB. Her squadron had to move to Elgin  after a hurricane destroyed the home training location at Tyndall AFB in 2018.  After 12 years in the US Air Force obtaining the rank of Major, Alissa became a reservist. She was then assigned to the California Air National Guard 144th Fighter wing, Detachment 1 at March Air Reserve Base in Riverside County. She flew the alert F-16s for NORTHCOM and NORAD. It was at this time, Alissa had moved back into her parent’s ranch in Palos Verdes and commuted to March ARB. She began testing for law enforcement while she worked as a dispatcher for the Torrance Police Department.

Alissa was eventually hired by LSIA Airport Police which was her first choice.  She hadn’t been to San Andreas since graduating from ULSA. But her favorite uncle lived in Los Santos, and she wanted to be closer to him due to his advanced age. (She mentions his passing and her inheriting his boat in the Sea Ray Video) She remained a reservist and landed an assignment at ANG 172nd FW at Fort Zancudo. Although she isn’t assigned to the 133rd Joint Test Squadron, Alissa will sometimes ride the back seat by invite. And assist them with certain missions and projects.

Alissa has been an Airport Police Officer for almost 5 years.
